Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC professional to take over day-to-day management of an HVAC business, from operations to business development & sales. Valid Florida HVAC Class B license or willingness to get it within 30 days of hiring is required.
The responsibilities will include:
– Taking responsibility for PnL management and growth
– Overseeing a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
– Managing inventory
– Warranty claims and management
– Training and supervising training of new techs
– Hiring new technicians and ensuring smooth onboarding
– Supervising office manager
– Business development & sales responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess experience supervising a team of technicians, managing growth, and experience running their own HVAC/ construction/ another contracting business.
In addition to competitive salary, we offer commission and potentially eventual ownership stake in the company.
This is an ideal role for someone with strong leadership, operational, and business management skills who is eager to step into a growth-focused leadership position.
Bonus points if you also possess Roofing or Mold/Remediation experience.
Duties
- Grow revenue
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of HVAC service technicians to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex service calls.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Manage continuous improvement of operational processes, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Assist in business development efforts
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC General Manager or similar role in the field service industry.
- Strong sales skills
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC systems. While you will not be performing installations or repairs yourself, strong technical background is a must
- Familiarity with schematics related to heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
