Source Refrigeration & HVAC is one of the largest and
fastest growing providers of commercial refrigeration,
HVAC, and energy management construction and service in
the western United States, comprised of 33 branches
A Refrigeration Service Technician 6 assists with the
prescribed and routine maintenance, diagnosis and repair
of commercial refrigeration equipment commonly installed
and used in supermarkets, convenient stores and cold
storage facilities.

A Level 6 Technician should know:
Rack refrigerant transfer & conversions
EMS communications
EMS boards
variable speed drives (inverters)
condenser control strategy
refrigeration & environmental strategies for energy
reduction and refrigerant leak detector systems (IRLDS
II)
Job Duties
•Trouble shoot rack control systems and EMS systems
Understand variable speed drives Trouble shoot VFD’s
Industrial Systems Trouble shoot and repair all
electrical and mechanical components of a supermarket
system Perform start-up of supermarket refrigeration
systems Understand programming of computer control
systems Read and understand blue-prints, construction
job layout HVAC compressor change out procedures
Preventative maintenance procedures on supermarket
refrigeration systems Leak check supermarket
refrigeration systems

Job Requirements:
7+ years experience
Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas
furnaces, and electrical Working knowledge of single
systems, rack systems, display cases and walk-in boxes
Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer controls
Good mechanical skills Good communication skills and the
ability to build strong relationships with customers and
management Good driving record
