Job Description

•Mechanical Engineering design and testing support for fast-paced
design and iteration of electro-mechanical devices
•CAD Design, CAD / Bill-of-Materials (BOM) Management
•Improve overall CAD quality
•Design parts, fixtures, manufacturing tools if needed
•Produce, modify and check mechanical drawings for production and
prototype parts
•Order parts from local shops and track of order status and expected
arrival of parts

Required Skills/Experience

– Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineer (BSME) or similar with
strong Experience in CAD

– 3+ Years of CATIA (preferably CATIA v6) or SolidWorks design and file
management

– Knowledge of fabrication techniques

– Good communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Experience:

– Bill of Materials (BOM) management experience

– Experience with GD&T, drawing review

– Some design experience – may edit parts, design fixtures, approve
vendor-requested geometry changes.

– Experience conducting incoming inspection, reviewing inspection
reports

– Experience with vendor management – working with machine shops and
fabricators to get quick-turn parts made.
