Job Description
General Summary
The Southeast Regional Service Manager will oversee service operations, customer support, and warranty-related activities within the Southeast Regional region of the United States. This role is responsible for managing field service teams, coordinating with distributors and contractors, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for HVAC products. The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge of HVAC systems with strong leadership and customer relationship skills to enhance customer satisfaction, support business growth, and maintain service excellence in the assigned territory.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage all service activities within the Southeast Regional region, ensuring timely and effective support to customers and distributors.
- Supervise and coordinate field service technicians, contractors, and authorized service providers.
- Provide technical support for product installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Oversee regional warranty claims, ensuring accurate evaluation, resolution, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary service contact for key accounts in the region.
- Monitor service performance, customer feedback, and warranty costs; report findings to senior management.
- Conduct training for customers, service providers, and internal staff on HVAC product applications and maintenance.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to address recurring product issues and improve service support.
- Manage regional inventory of spare parts and tools needed for service operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies across the region.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Any other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in HVAC service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and controls.
- Proven track record in managing service operations and customer relationships in a regional capacity.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead field-based teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce, or similar) preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalated service issues.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast Regional region; occasional national/international travel may be required.
