Job Description
As a Commercial HVAC Technician at MCA, your extensive experience and technical prowess will be the driving force behind maintaining, repairing, and replacing a diverse range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and EMS systems. Your commitment to honesty and work ethics will not only enhance our clients’ satisfaction but also contribute to the collaborative spirit within our team. Your daily responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing an array of customer products, such as heat pumps, gas furnaces, rooftop package units, chillers, control systems, and more. Repairs include, but not limited to:
- Leak checks (pressurized, electronics, visuals)
- Date and replace filters
- Equipment/Coil cleanings
- Motor/VFD replacements
- Compressor/Coil replacements
- Multi-Evaporator Systems
- Metering devices/Misc. components replacement
- Ductwork and Air Ventilation repairs
- Control/EMS Systems repairs
- Heating elements/exchangers replacement
- Miscellaneous plumbing, electrical, carpentry repairs (limited)
Your dedication to top-notch customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and proficiency in a variety of technical tasks will be the key to your success in this role. Arrive at work well-groomed and follow the company dress code. Communicate frequently with the Service Coordinator/Admins and other office staff about scheduling and work-related issues. Uphold a commitment to excellence by meeting company-set productivity metrics, including first-time fixes, callbacks, and new leads. Embrace a proactive approach to enhance service and customer experience, thinking creatively and outside the box. After proper training, proficiency in documenting and recording repairs is expected. Communicate with maintenance partners and vendors regarding warranty repairs, ensuring all warranty-related processes are meticulously followed. Finally, be ready to grow along with our team! Work Hours Required: Monday-Friday 7:30am-7:30pm, plus On-Call
Salary: $45k to $70k/year
Position Type: Full-Time (35+ Hours a week)
Supervisor: Lead Technician(s)
While primary fieldwork hours are 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Friday, understand the flexibility required for 24/7/365 service. You are required to perform On-Call and standby duties on a rotating basis. Adhere to assigned work schedules and submit timesheets on time each week.
Service Technicians will be provided with an MCA service truck to perform calls promptly and enable efficient operations. While using the truck, drive safely and obey all traffic, vehicle safety, and parking laws or regulations. Drivers must always demonstrate safe driving habits. Your commitment to these standards will contribute to the seamless operation and success of our team.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid EPA Refrigeration Certificate
- Must have clean driving record, valid Florida driver’s license
- Commercial Refrigeration Service: 3 years experience
- Knowledgeable in the reading of and working from blueprints and/or drawings
- EPA Universal level certification
- Experience in HVAC Controls
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to repetitively climb stairs
- Ability to climb and work off of ladders
