Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Master Plumber to join and take a leadership role in our growing HVAC installation and service team. We are a profitable and growing company in MA, primarily serving the eastern and central MA commercial and light commercial market.

We are seeking someone who will serve primarily as a working foreman and supervisor of HVAC equipment installations, gas piping, and hydronics. This person will have the opportunity to be part of an active management team and become an officer of the company.

The types of projects involved include: high efficiency condensing boilers, variable speed pumps, geothermal exchange (ground source heat pump) heating and cooling, hydronic heating, large heat pump systems, conventional boiler installation and retrofit, and conventional gas piping. The work scope will occasionally include, but not be limited to, Plan and Spec projects and Prevailing Wage work.

The selected candidate will be a MA Master Plumber with a current MA Master Gas Fitter’s license who is able to work both independently and in a team environment. To be considered, a candidate must be able to pull permits and stand inspections on boilers ranging in size from small to 2 million BTUs. A high school diploma (or GED) is expected; an associate’s degree would be a plus. The selected candidate will have most of the following experience base, skills, and work attributes:
• At least 4 years of directly related hands-on installation and/or service experience
• A quality focus
• Dedication to producing great results for the customer
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and job specs
• Doing hydronic piping flow and load calculations
• Gas heating system troubleshooting
• Oil heating system troubleshooting
• Propress piping
• Boiler system controls
• Basic computer skills including MS Office
• Experience in project estimating and project management
• Supervisory experience

Note that the responsibilities of this position do not include residential plumbing applications such as fixtures, toilets, hot tubs, etc.
