Job Description

Total Mechanical Services is hiring an experienced Journeyman Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing commercial and industrial service business. This role is critical to helping us deliver reliable, high-quality HVAC and hydronic service work for our customers across a wide range of systems and facilities. The technician in this position will play a key role in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, completing preventive maintenance, and representing our company professionally in the field. This is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, working independently, and taking pride in delivering dependable service on commercial and industrial equipment.

Pay

Pay: $55.15 – $65.15 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Diagnose equipment and system issues and recommend appropriate repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and hydronic systems
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed
• Work on chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, controls, and associated hydronic equipment
• Complete service documentation clearly, accurately, and on time
• Maintain a safe, professional, and customer-focused presence on job sites
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively with customers and internal team members
• Manage service calls independently and use sound field judgment in troubleshooting and repair decisions

Qualifications

• Commercial and industrial HVAC service experience required
• Journeyman-level experience required
• Verifiable commercial service experience required
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to pass a drug screen required
• Must be eligible and willing to join Local 344 Union
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills
• Experience working with hydronic systems, pumps, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and controls
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
• Strong professionalism, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation
