About the Position:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform installation, repair, and maintenance of assigned HVAC systems and equipment, grounds, buildings, and facilities; assist in coordinating maintenance services and activities with other City departments and outside contractors and vendors. Candidates should be highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate and perform the preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems. Make repairs and adjustments to HVAC systems.
  • Install and rotate filters, change fan belts, check temperature settings, troubleshoot problems with heating and cooling systems; install and repair exhaust fans.
  • Assist in performing installation, repair, and maintenance of assigned systems, equipment, grounds, buildings, and facilities.
  • Assist in performing routine and non-licensed electrical work; change ballasts, outlets, and switches; install light fixtures.
  • Assist in performing plumbing work; make repairs and/or adjustments to plumbing, including unstopping drains, repairing, or replacing flush valves, toilets, and sinks.
  • Assist in performing building renovations and repairs including removal or installation of flooring and ceiling tiles, sheet rock and drywall, fixtures and appliances and painting of interior and exterior surfaces.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Three (3) years of residential/commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Possession of a valid Universal Refrigerant License.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
