JOB POSTING: HVAC Maintenance Technician

Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of HVAC Maintenance Technician. The individual in this position will be accountable for:
• Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting all aspects of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for the entire campus
• Coordinating and collaborating with external contractors, as well as internal Licensed Master Plumber, Master Electrician, Facilities Staff, and Campus Safety to ensure HVAC systems are functioning properly
• Effectively using computer-based building control systems for heat/air conditioning, lights and safety
Candidates must have: a comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principals; experience as an HVAC Mechanic; working knowledge of all boiler systems (state-of-the-art and antiquated); experience with and understanding of MS Office suite and Google Apps; a high school diploma or GED; a Refrigeration Technician’s license is preferred.
Candidates must have the ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs., as well as have tolerance for walking, lifting, shoveling, and performing various repetitive physical tasks. Candidates must have an ability to work independently or with a team, perform emergency tasks promptly and efficiently, and be customer-focused with a friendly and helpful attitude. Candidates should be able to read, speak and understand English fluently.
This is a 12-month, full-time position reporting to the Director of Facilities and Campus Safety. Hours are 7:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. All hours are subject to change, and may be adjusted to meet campus needs. Candidates must have the flexibility to work nights and weekends.
