Position:
Mechanic position is a full-time position, working out of Point Pleasant, NJ servicing residential and light commercial HVAC system in Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, and Union counties.
Compensation:
$35 -$55 per hour depending upon experience
Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Mechanic is a full-time, role based in Point Pleasant, NJ. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing service calls, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards and local codes. The mechanic will interact directly with customers, explain findings and recommended solutions, and provide clear documentation of work performed. The role also involves collaborating with team members, managing tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Strong HVAC technical skills, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of heating and cooling systems.
- Experience with maintenance, preventive maintenance, and maintenance & repair tasks for residential and light commercial equipment.
- Customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen effectively, and provide professional, courteous support on-site.
- Relevant HVAC certifications or licenses (such as EPA Section 608) preferred; willingness to obtain required credentials if not already held.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to use standard HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Reliable transportation to job sites and availability to work full-time.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform tasks in varied weather conditions while following safety protocols.
- Min 5 years experience in HVAC is required.
