ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Public Works Department strives to improve the quality of life in Phoenix through efficient delivery of outstanding solid waste, fleet, facilities, and energy management services.

The City of Phoenix Public Works Department offers experienced HVAC Service Technicians the opportunity to join our team. Technicians are responsible for repair and maintenance of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems and components located at many facilities throughout the City of Phoenix. Types of equipment include split systems and package units ranging from 1.5-ton to 20-tons, water source heat pumps, evaporative coolers, and exhaust fans. This position often works independently. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work alone.

Hours for this role include either:

• Four 10- hour shifts are available working Monday through Thursday from 6:30am – 5:00pm. Days off are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Four 10- hour shifts are available working Tuesday through Friday from 6:30am – 5:00pm. Days off are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
• Five 8-hour shifts are available working Monday through Friday from 6:30am – 3:00pm.

SALARY

Hiring Range: $28.86 to $33.41 per hour.
