Job Description

B&L Ott Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC., a premier heating and air conditioning contractor based in Reading, PA seeks HVAC Service & Installation technicians experienced with gas furnaces, oil furnaces, gas boilers, oil boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless split systems, geothermal heat pumps and commercial equipment to perform repairs, replacements and installation of units for residential and commercial equipment. We are an EPA certified HVAC contractor providing outstanding customer service in the repair, replacement and installation of primarily Trane Equipment but also specializing in servicing all makes and models of equipment in both residential and commercial settings.

General Job Responsibilities: (Service Technician)

– Perform field based residential & commercial maintenance and service calls, using
computer based technology and equipment for troubleshooting and evaluation at
customer locations in the Berks County vicinity
– Operate various hand tools, meters & testing equipment for performing duties related
to electrical, refrigerant & hydronics work.
– Conduct testing, perform ductwork modifications and various repairs
– Apply designated chemicals & cleaning agents in a safe manner
– Perform brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of various refrigerants

Requirements

– A minimum of 3 years successful experience as a certified HVAC technician
– Excellent customer communication skills in order to foster business relationships and
to explain repairs and replacement options to customers.
– Reliable in both attendance and punctuality
– Work ethic focused on dependability, customer service and teamwork
– Strong attention to quality and safety at all times while performing job duties
– Able to work full time schedule and “on-call” nights, weekends, holidays
– Able to work overtime as needed
– Current, valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
