Hourly rate of $50+ DOE, plus commission

Responsibilities:

• Repair and Maintenance:
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning heating and cooling systems to restore comfort.
  • Conduct boiler operations, observing meter and pressure gauges, testing water quality, and adjusting burner combustion as part of a preventative maintenance program.
  • Flush boilers, descale tubing, and rebuild safety valves and water pumps per manufacturer specifications.
  • Lubricate and pack motors, pumps, and fans related to heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
• Preventative Maintenance:
  • Offer regular maintenance plans to ensure systems operate efficiently and extend their lifespan.
  • Design, install, and repair ductwork to optimize airflow and energy efficiency.
• Indoor Air Quality Solutions:
  • Provide air purification systems, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers to improve indoor air quality.
• Thermostat Installation:
  • Install smart and programmable thermostats for enhanced energy efficiency.
• Refrigeration Services:
  • Handle the installation and maintenance of commercial refrigeration units and cooling systems.
• Energy Efficiency Audits:
  • Assess systems and recommend upgrades or changes to enhance energy efficiency.
• Installation:
  • Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Install new HVAC systems and test/troubleshoot installations upon completion.
  • Install, calibrate, and repair systems, including copper tubing and pipe repairs.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of time, labor, and materials; log tasks performed and create reports as required.
  • Generate estimates and invoices for services rendered.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Providing guidance and support to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and best practices.
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Completed HVAC apprenticeship.
• Valid Master Journeyman HVAC license or ability to obtain certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of industry experience (4 years as an apprentice and 4 years as a journeyman).
• Diesel boiler experience required
• Plumbing experience preferred but not mandatory
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
• Willingness to rotate on-call weekends
• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
• Valid Driver’s License
