CPH has an opening in our Miami, Florida location for a Full Time Mechanical/Plumbing (MEP) Engineer with 5 – 7 years of experience in commercial and industrial design. PE license is Preferred.

Job Description
Design and draft Mechanical/Plumbing engineering systems for a variety of project types including, commercial, government, assembly, retail centers, office buildings, site and street lighting, and lift stations.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and construction personnel to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.
Provide engineering services under the leadership of a Sr. Engineer or Project Manager.
Responsibilities
•Analyze and design mechanical systems for a variety of facilities.
•Develop designs and construction documents, including HVAC systems, DX and chilled water; split systems; domestic water; sanitary and venting, grease waste systems; fire sprinkler, pumps, and alarm systems.
•Undertake site surveys, field investigations, condition surveys and feasibility studies for proposed projects and prepare reports.
•Coordinate with other disciplines including site civil, structural, instrumentation, controls, and architectural, to create and update drawings and documentation.
•Assist Sr. Engineers in other engineering related tasks.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills: Experience with Florida energy compliance, FLAcom, a plus.
Experience with building cooling load programs – HAP, Trace, etc a plus.
Self-motivated and works effectively in team or individual situations, excellent communication skills, able to prioritize work activities, while utilizing time management skills in meeting deadlines and staying on schedules with projects.
Qualifications
•A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or plumbing engineering or in a similar discipline. Registered Florida PE is Preferred.
•5-7 years of experience.
•Must be able to use AutoCAD, the proper candidate will need to be able to produce his or her own design with no redlining of work
•The preferred candidate will need to be able to produce his or her own design with no redlining of work using BIM/Revit.
•Proficient with MS Office Suite and Adobe PDF.
•Understanding of other Engineering Disciplines – Electrical, Structural and Architecture is a plus.
