Job Description

Poudre School District is seeking HVAC Technicians at entry level, Journeyman level, and Master level. These are full-time, year round positions and the selected candidates will be eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus to be distributed after successful completion of the employee probationary period (typically 90 days). Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short and long term disability, as well as other optional benefit elections.

Pay Ranges:
HVAC Technician: $22.61 – $25.32 hourly
HVAC Technician Journeyman: $27.75 – $31.08 hourly
HVAC Technician Master: $31.06 – $34.79 hourly

Job Descriptions:
The HVAC Technician will work under direct supervision of a Journeyman or Master Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician. The technician will receive the required work experience and training to assist in the repair, replacement and maintenance of district heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. The technician will assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for teachers, students, staff and community members.

The HVAC Technician Journeyman will program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair hearing, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment and control systems. The journeyman will identify and suggest ideas and obtain estimates for possible HVAC retrofits for space use changes. The journeyman will also provide a safe and comfortable environment for teachers, students, staff and community, as well as assist apprentice level HVAC staff in repair of all HVAC equipment.

The HVAC Technician Master will program, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment and control systems. The master will work on pneumatic temperature controls, troubleshoot equipment problems, and identify suggestions and ideas for possible HVAC retrofits for space use changes. The master will provide a safe and comfortable environment for teachers, students, and District staff, and assume department responsibilities when department head is unavailable.
