About the Role
We are a growing construction company seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead and oversee all mechanical and HVAC operations for new commercial construction projects and service/repair work. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field— leading by example, actively building and repairing mechanical systems, and overseeing crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for a leader who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team while maintaining accountability, efficiency, and craftsmanship
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor mechanical crews on active construction sites
- Perform hands-on mechanical work including installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with drawings, specifications, and company standards
- Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on-site
- Coordinate with project managers, other trades, vendors, and inspectors
- Track labor, materials, and equipment usage
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively
- Maintain quality control and ensure workmanship meets or exceeds expectations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC/ mechanical construction, with supervisory or lead experience
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills (HVAC, piping, equipment installation, or related systems)
- Proven ability to lead crews in an active construction environment
- Solid understanding of construction plans, specifications, and schedules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Ability to work in the field in varying conditions
