Job Description
HVAC Technician
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues using specialized tools and testing instruments, such as a multimeter.

Troubleshoot system failures and repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.

Recover, handle, and recharge refrigerants in compliance with EPA 608 certification standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan installations or troubleshoot equipment failures.

Perform routine inspections, seasonal tune-ups, and preventative maintenance on various HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Communicate professionally with clients to explain repair needs, maintenance recommendations, and how the system operates.

Document all service calls, maintenance activities, time spent, and parts used in service logs.
Requirements:

Proven experience working in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair (2-5 years preferred).

Must be able to effectively read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Must be proficient in using testing instruments, specifically a multimeter, to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.

Strong understanding of the refrigeration cycle, heat transfer laws, and system diagnostics.

Solid electrical troubleshooting experience is highly preferred.

Experience with pipe bending, brazing, soldering, and piping is a strong plus.

Current EPA Section 608 Certification is required.

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC training program or formal apprenticeship is preferred.
