Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization, including preventive, responsive, routine and emergency maintenance throughout the property. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities. Hours 6:00AM – 12:30PM benefit eligible.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily workflow, scheduling, and the equipment of the facilities department.
- Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems.
- Manage and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and costs incurred.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Completing special projects, tasks or duties as assigned by Director of Special Projects.
- Performing emergency maintenance-related issues as required.
- Fostering a positive and respectful attitude toward residents, vendors, and staff; working patiently, professionally and cooperatively.
- Communicating effectively with fellow associates, vendors and supervisors
- Complying with all personnel management policies and procedures
Skills:
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
- Low voltage electrical knowledge for maintenance of electrical systems
- Experience in industrial maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong maintenance management skills to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Project management skills to oversee facility improvement projects from start to finish.
- Ability to fabricate or repair equipment as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of logic controllers for troubleshooting automated systems is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of related experience.
- Associate’s degree desired; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience managing the company’s type of facilities, equipment, and events preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Hands-on repair and maintenance work constitutes majority of time and duties. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds variable distances; mobility and flexibility to use ladders to heights in excess of 8 feet; ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit as assigned when necessary. Use of general maintenance equipment including but not limited to: hand tools, ladders, and required safety equipment.
