LSU Health – New Orleans, Division of Facility Services is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Facility Maintenance Manager C (Position Number: 00017995). Persons applying should possess knowledge, skill and five (5) years of experience in supervising the installation, maintenance, inspection, alteration and repair of large commercial or institutional heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Persons applying should also possess a first class license in steam boilers and air conditioning, with a minimum of ten years of experience with both at the journeyman level, plus knowledge of and experience with building direct digital control systems (building automation). Applicants should also possess the ability to: communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; safely climb and maneuver on ladders and/or scaffolds; work in tight and awkward spaces; safely work on roofs, cat walks, and other elevated surfaces; and, work outdoors in inclement weather and all temperatures.
As of November 14, 1994 employees must possess the appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians (as required under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 1990).
There is a Special Entrance Rate for this title of $30.75 per hour.
