Job Description

Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, a part of the NJ Department of Health and the Division of Behavioral Health Services, seeks an Operating Engineer Heating and Conditioning.

Under direction of a supervisory officer in a state department, institution or agency, the Operating Engineer takes a leading part in the operation, maintenance, adjustment and repair of air conditioning and heating systems and auxiliary equipment; does other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in the adjustment, repair, operation and maintenance of air conditioning and heating plants and auxiliary equipment.

LICENSE: Appointees must possess an Operating Engineer’s license (Blue Seal minimum) of the appropriate grade and type, issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor.

NOTE: Appointee may be required to possess a valid Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Certification of the appropriate level, commensurate with type of equipment serviced, issued under the authority of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the positions.
